Local Novice

Teams will compete in a round-robin division with 21 teams. The top 8 teams will go on to compete in the upper pool placement tournament. The next 8 teams (seeds 9-16) will compete in the lower pool placement tournament. Seeding in the tournament will be based on the win/loss record from the round-robin competition. Ties will be broken first by head-to-head competition, then by total points from all round-robin rounds.

Local Experienced

Teams are divided into 2 pools (A-19 teams, B-18 teams). Each pool will do a full round-robin schedule. The top 8 seeds in each pool will compete in the upper pool placement tournament and the next 4 seeds (9-12) in each pool will compete in the lower pool placement tournament. Seeding for the tournament will be in this format: #1 A-pool vs. #8 B-pool, #2 A-pool vs #7 B-pool, etc. Then we reverse: #1 B-pool vs. #8 A-pool, etc. Ties in each pool will be broken first by head-to-head competition, then by total points from all pool rounds.

District Novice

Seeding for the tournament will be in this format: #1 A-pool vs. #8 B-pool, #2 A-pool vs #7 B-pool, etc. Then we reverse: #1 B-pool vs. #8 A-pool, etc. Ties in each pool will be broken first by head-to-head competition, then by total points from all pool rounds.

District Experienced

Teams are divided into two pools (A-19 teams, B–19 teams). Each will do a full round-robin schedule. The top 8 seeds in each pool will compete in the upper pool placement tournament and the next 4 seeds (9-12) in each pool will compete in the lower pool placement tournament. Seeding for the tournament will follow this format: #1 A-pool vs. #8 B-pool, #2 A-pool vs #7 B-pool, etc. Then we reverse: #1 B-pool vs. #8 A-pool, etc. Ties in each pool will be broken first by head-to-head competition, then by total points from all pool rounds.

Field Teams

8 Field A and 8 Field B teams will compete in separate, full round-robin schedules and then conclude with separate placement tournaments. All teams will compete in the tournaments. Seeding in the tournament will be based on the win/loss record from the preliminary rounds. Ties will be broken by head-to-head competition, then by total points from all pool rounds within each division.

Individual

All individual scores are based on the average points per round. Ties for scholarships will be broken first based on errors (provided the individuals are in the same number of round-robin rounds), then a five-question quiz- off. If a different number of rounds occurs, then a five-question quiz-off will be used to break the tie.
